Code of Conduct

Students

  • Students are expected to uphold the highest standards of conduct on and off campus:
  • Students are expected to attend classes regularly and on time.
  • Every student is required to maintain decorum and discipline in the campus.
  • Ragging is strictly prohibited in the college. Offenders will be strictly dealt with as per college, affiliating university and UGC guidelines.
  • Students are expected to participate in class discussions and activities.
  • Students are expected to complete all assignments and exams on time and to the best of their ability.
  • Students are expected to be honest and ethical in their academic work.
  • Students are expected to be respectful of all members of the college community.
  • Students are expected to refrain from any form of harassment, discrimination, or violence.
  • Students are expected to comply with all college policies and procedures.
  • Students should avoid academic dishonesty including cheating, plagiarism, and fabrication.
  • Students should refrain from disruptive or disrespectful behavior in the classroom or other college facilities.
  • Harassment, discrimination, or violence against any member of the college community will be viewed seriously and offenders will be penalized.
  • Theft, vandalism, or other damage to college property will be dealt with as per law.
  • Possession or use of alcohol or illegal drugs on campus is strictly prohibited.
  • Mobile phones are banned in the college campus.
  • Smoking in the college campus and sitting on the railings in the college building is not allowed.

Faculty and Staff

  • Faculty and staff shall treat students with respect and dignity, regardless of their race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status.
  • Faculty and staff shall maintain high academic standards and provide students with a quality education.
  • Faculty and staff shall be fair and impartial in their dealings with students.
  • Faculty and staff shall avoid conflicts of interest.
  • Faculty and staff shall maintain confidentiality of student information.
  • Faculty and staff shall uphold the academic integrity of the college.
  • Faculty and staff shall be role models for students and demonstrate high ethical standards in their own conduct.

Consequences of Violating the Code of Conduct:

Possible consequences of violating the code of conduct include disciplinary actions such as expulsion from the college. The severity of the violation and the applicable law will determine the specific consequences. Additionally, if a student directly or indirectly participates in an agitation or strike deemed subversive by the Principal, they may be punished, rusticated, or expelled. Students are encouraged to report any witnessed or experienced violations to college officials.

Conduct rules for teaching & non-teaching employee

Every staff member including teaching and non-teaching are expected to follow the conduct rules guidelines in toto. Any violation will be dealt with as per CCS Conduct and Service Rules as applicable for employees of the Government of Himachal Pradesh.
Other Provisions:

  • All members of the college community shall refrain from discrimination based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic status.
  • All members of the college community shall promote a culture of academic integrity and respect for diversity.
  • All members of the college community shall strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for all.
