I am delighted to welcome you to Govt. Degree College Shivnagar Kangra, a beacon of education in our vibrant rural community. Since its inception, our college has been committed to providing quality education and fostering holistic development among our students.
Located amidst the serene surroundings on the banks of Mahand Khad with the Dhauladhar ranges in the backdrop, our college embraces both tradition and progress. We take pride in our strong academic curriculum, dedicated faculty, and state-of-the-art facilities that empower students to excel in their chosen fields.
This college has been the only source of education for the students of this rural areas since 1993, earlier it was a private college establishef with the help of local people. On November 30, 2015, this college was taken over by the Government. Since then this college has remained a center of endeavor in the field of education. Keeping in mind the all-round development of the students, special emphasis is given on character building in the college so that they can contribute to nation building by becoming ideal citizens. In the current session, 102 boys and girls are studying in both Arts and Commerce streams in this educational institution. We believe in nurturing not just academic excellence but also character, leadership, and community spirit. Our aim is to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and values they need to succeed in an ever-evolving world.We are fortunate to have committed and competent faculty, supported by a motivated and cooperative non-teaching staff.
